This is done to prevent someone from voting more than once. The turnout percentage is calculated by dividing the number of Xs in the electoral register by the total number of people eligible to vote. The X is registered in the polling district where the voter is registered, even if the person votes in advance or in a different polling district. The number of Xs in the electoral register from the advance voting period is reported when the counts from the polling stations in the polling districts are registered. Turnout percentages are not given before this. Turnout percentages may vary until the count is complete.

Number of ballots where the voter cast a blank vote. Blank votes are not included in the calculation of percentage-wise support for parties and groups.

Ballots that were declared invalid, for example because it is not clear which party the voter voted for, or because the party does not have a list in the constituency.
